Arthur Schwarzchild

Arthur Schwarzchild is a performer at the Twilight District lounge, called the Orologio. He is a talented singer and immigrant to the area, known for his range and the intimacy of his performances, having won an award in 19X7 for his performance at the World's Fair. They are aloof and mysterious, spending most of its time to himself, often seen with the Orologio's other performers in the lounge and nearby food spots. He specializes in lounge and swing music, often taking an enjoyment in providing a mysterious mood to the lounge.

Arthur is classified as a Stellar-Class Black Hole, taken physical shape and sentience due to unknown circumstances. He also notably shows other traits dissimilar to a black hole - having a low gravitational field, average weight for a terrestrial creature, and a tangible surface that gives its form definition. Despite all this, he develops accretion discs, is hyperdense, and has been known to "absorb mass", though documentation of the last point is not readily available.

Biography

Early Years

Moving into the Wintergreen Area in 19Y0, Arthur gained his first income by busking at the lakeside. After the local populace began to crowd around him daily for their music, nearby bars began to bring it inside to perform on-stage. While requests were aplenty, most found its voice came out truly in melancholy and mysterious songs, and that is what they began to specialize in, spending his free time taking notes in his small home, listening to records late into the night. After years of performances at different locales, Arthur found his permanent work in a performance lounge known as the Orologio, having opened a year prior and recommended by a friend.

Arthur's explots in the Orologio has gotten them steady work, though reports exist that he has denied any offers of recording contracts, citing low interest in making permanent media and wanting his shows to be more interesting and give purpose to a trip to the Wintergreen Area. A large percentage of tourist report coming to its shows, citing the "mystifying display of colors spilling around [it]" and "a way about [him] that seemingly attracts the light in the room to provide a corona about them."

Personal Life

Arthur is very private with his life, opting to keep away from most others out of a "self-contained want of isolation." However, it has revealed some minor parts of its personal life to its fans through introductions of their performances. He has expressed a deep interest in classical literature and jazz, having a wide personal collection of both that is often alluded to during performances.

Notes

• When Arthur speaks, astral debris spills out and creates both a silhouette of a mouth, as well as an accretion disk that slowly reincorporates back into their form.
• Touching Arthur's "skin" is similar to touching a vibrating surface, creating a numbness on contact. Some have said that its surface feels "soft".
• Arthur has described their mother as "very bright, very tall, and very famous", but attributes these to only seeing pictures of her. It is often thought that he is referring to a star.
• Arthur is still friends with the one who brought the Orologio to its attention. It's reported that the other performer has a crush on him.
• Their true age is unknown. In his own words, "It's impolite to ask someone their age."
